M’Ocean Opens in Cape May

Cape May used to have a restaurant-bar called Martini Beach and its concept was perfect for right around the time Stephen Starr opened his first martini bar, Continental. As we all know, that was a long, long time ago. Alas, Martini Beach has closed, and in its place, M’Ocean, a fine-dining restaurant for Cape May’s bustling restaurant scene.

The oceanfront restaurant at 429 Beach Avenue is lead by executive chef Terry White (one of the original chef/partners of the now shuttered-to-become-a-catering-hall Union Trust). With cold-smoked scallops, crispy sweetbreads, and line-caught swordfish, the menu looks promising. And since White was a steakhouse chef, it’s no surprise to see  45-day aged coffee-brined ribeye on the menu.
