Ocean City Voting on BYOB

Today the residents of Ocean City, New Jersey are voting to decide whether or not to allow diners to bring their own wine to the town’s restaurants. Since 1984 the dry beach down extended the prohibition on liquor to including bringing your own to a restaurant. The divisive issue has been hotly debated recently with Ocean City’s City Council voting to keep BYO illegal last February. And then in November the matter was to be put on the ballot but the referendum was pulled off at the last moment. Today though, the dry town’s dryness makes it to the voters hands.

We’re looking forward to seeing how this plays out.
