According to Adam Schefter, Philadelphia has emerged as a likely location to host next year’s NFL Draft.  The draft was recently relocated to Chicago after a long standing tradition of being held in New York.

As Schefter points out, Philadelphia does not currently have a first-round pick in 2017 due to their recent blockbuster trade with the Cleveland Browns. In that sense, the home team would be in the background of the only draft it’s hosted since before the Super Bowl era.

The other candidate to host the draft is Los Angeles, though they, too, no longer hold a first round draft pick in 2017 after moving into the top slot this year.
