You Can Try Rittenhouse’s New Small Group Training Gym for Free
Take a look inside the new Fit Academy location here, then swing by for a free sweat at their grand opening celebration.
Remember when we told you that Brewerytown’s Fit Academy gym was expanding to a second location in Rittenhouse? A location formerly occupied by Body Cycle Studio (R.I.P., we miss you!)? Well, it’s here folks, and let us be the ones to tell you: You will not recognize the place.
The studio, which is located on the third floor and a mezzanine at 1923 Chestnut Street, has not only give the space a new paint job, it’s also knocked down walls, moved bathrooms, and added a brand-new staircase to the floor below. The result? A studio that’s much brighter than the former occupant Body Cycle Studio’s moody tones — and with significantly more space.
Unlike its Brewerytown sister location, the new Fit Academy is designed to serve two different audiences: the clients and the trainers. Upstairs there is a small group fitness studio, designed to handle classes of 15 max, outfitted with kettlebells, dumbbells, BOSU balls, and brand-new machines known as Ski-Rows, which can transform from a SkiErg to a rowing machine at the touch of a button.
Downstairs, there’s a brand new personal training area — complete with a turf floor, weight racks, and more yet-to-arrive high-end machinery — where Fit Academy instructors can work one-on-one with clients. And, at the bottom of the new staircase, there’s a lounge where trainers can meet with clients, catch up on email, and socialize.
The new gym is hosting a grand opening celebration on January 12, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., during which time you can stop by for a FREE 30-minute workout if you sign up here. Can’t wait that long? Fit Academy Rittenhouse’s class schedule is currently live on MindBody, and non-members can drop into any class for just $10. And, if you decide you love it, the gym is currently offering new members a crazy-discounted membership of just $49 for a month, which you can find here.
