Head to The Plaza at the Comcast Center for free barre on Tuesday nights in June and July.

From free yoga at the Race Street Pier to workouts on The Deck at Moshulu to pool boot camps, we didn’t think summer in Philly could get any better. Then we heard that The Bar Method — which recently opened in Rittenhouse — is popping up with free outdoor barre classes. I mean, anybody else wondering how we got this lucky?

The new series will kick off the first Tuesday in June (that’ll be June 5 — save the date!). Registration will run from 5 to 5:30 p.m., but since there’s limited space, everyone will need to pre-register with The Bar Method by signing up online for the class.  After check-in, The Bar Method’s team will lead the group through a 45-minute muscle-burning barre workout.

The classes will run every Tuesday evening in June and July, with the exception of July 3. The series is BYO yoga mat and water (and, let’s be honest, towels — you’re gonna get sweaty) and will take place at The Plaza at the Comcast Center, located at 1701 John F. Kennedy Boulevard. Keep an eye on the The Bar Method schedule to register for the free pop-up events here.
