Man, it seems our fitness options in this city just continue to grow and grow and GROW. Case in point: This list of 13 fitness and foodie openings coming up. And now, we’ve got one more to add to the list: Mindful Elephant Yoga, a new Kripalu-based yoga studio opening at 2000 Spring Garden Street in Fairmount later this month.

The studio, helmed by yoga teacher Juli Fussell, will offer a mixed schedule of gentle yoga, hatha yoga, all-levels vinyasa, restorative and prenatal yoga. They’ll be opening Saturday, August 27th with a slew of free classes offered that weekend. On both Saturday and Sunday of opening weekend, they’ll have a free 75-minute Kripalu Slow Flow class at 9 a.m.  and a 75-minute Kripalu Vinyasa class at 11 a.m. You’ll be able to snag a spot in the free classes online starting August 22nd.

And a little something worth noting: The studio is conveniently located just a hop, skip and a throw away from Whole Foods Callowhill, which means your weekly grocery shopping trips could soon be a whole lot more zen. After all, it’s kind of impossible to get mad at the obnoxious cart-pusher — who somehow manages to bump you with their cart in EVERY damn aisle of the store! — when you’ve just gotten your savasana on, you know? Happy downward dogging!
