If you often find yourself resorting to Quaker Instant Oatmeal — which, if you’re opting for the packet with raisins, dates, and walnuts, has more sugar than a Krispy Kreme donut — never again: With this genius breakfast hack, you can have homemade steel-cut oats every morning in just two minutes. I know, it sounds way too good to be true. But trust us, it’s possible!

Yesterday, POPSUGAR Fitness posted this brilliant oatmeal hack that just requires a bit of prep time and a muffin tin. What you do is, whenever you have a good 40 minutes to whip up a big batch of steel-cut oats, do it. When they’re done cooking, mix in your cinnamon and peanut butter or whatever it is you like to put in your oatmeal, pour the oats into the muffin tin and pop ‘em in the freezer. Then, come a frenzied morning before work, all you have to do is put two or three of the muffin-tin servings into a bowl, throw the bowl in the microwave for two to three minutes, and voila: You have homemade instant oatmeal.

So simple, yet so brilliant, right?
