Ali, this week’s adoptable running dog, comes by way of PAWS. She’s a great runner — a favorite of many Monster Milers volunteers, in fact — and her post-run snuggles are epic. Learn more about her below.

Name: Ali

Age: 2 to 4 years

Breed: Shepherd/lab mix

Size: 38 pounds

Background: Ali was found as a stray.

Running style: The Monster Milers shelter volunteers’ version of March Madness is being completely crazy for Ali! A fast favorite of all of all the volunteers, she’s the constant companion of a few committed Milers runners.

Why Ali is awesome: Ali absolutely loves people, but does not care for other animals. If you’re looking for your one and only, and you think that might look like a pointy-eared lady with bright eyes, four fast legs and great hair (she must use Pantene!), reach out to PAWS about getting to know Ali. Her post-run snuggles are epic!

You can find out more about Ali (and other adoptable animals) here. And for more awww-worthy photos, check out our previous adoptable running dogs here. If you are interested in adopting Ali, you can email PAWS at dogs@phillypaws.org, call them at 215-298-9680, ext. 16 or fill out an application here. Ali’s animal ID is #A24755060.

………..

We work with The Monster Milers each and every week to profile local running dogs waiting to be adopted. The Monster Milers are a group of runners who help shelter dogs burn off  energy and get much-needed exercise by taking them on runs around the city, and they also just launched their first-of-it’s-kind Adopt a Running Buddy foster program. If you’re not in the market for a pup right now, but would still love to help out homeless dogs, you can always become a Monster Miler volunteer or foster parent. Find out more about how to get started with those processes here
