YES! Sweetgreen Is Opening a New Location in Rittenhouse

Heavens be praised. We’ve been hearing rumors about a Sweetgreen location opening near Rittenhouse for awhile now, but the folks over at the Philadelphia Business Journal were just able to confirm that it’s coming, for real for real (!!), to 1821 Chestnut Street.

All we know so far is that the 2,900-square-foot cafe, which will be the third in Philly, will open sometime, vaguely, “later this year after conducting major renovations,” although HughE Dillon’s unnamed sources over on Philly Chit Chat peg the opening to this summer.

Whenever it opens, you can be sure we’ll be the first in line. That Spicy Sabzi salad sure isn’t going to eat itself.
