Just a reminder to all you folks with the Philadelphia Marathon ahead of you: The race is 14 weeks away! If you’ve been slacking off on your running schedule, we’ve got just the thing to get you in gear: Team Philly, which some of you might remember from the slew of marathon training groups we posted a few weeks ago, officially kicks off their training program this Saturday morning at Philadelphia Runner in University City.

The folks from Team Philly will be at Philadelphia Runner at 8 a.m. to go over the group’s training program and answer any questions runners have. Then, the group will head out for its first run of the season, with half marathoners running about two miles and marathoners clocking an eight-mile run.

Along with giving you a big group of running buddies to train with, joining Team Philly’s training program also gets you a complete day-to-day training manual, three group runs a week, free injury consultations (which hopefully you won’t need), and more. The cost for the training program is $150 for half marathoners and $175 for full marathoners. You can get the full scoop on Team Philly here.
