To Do: Yoga Rave Philly at Gallerie Isada

It's a party with yoga. Win-win if you ask me.

On the heels of last spring’s Yoga Rave at the Skybox, there’s this: the fall 2012 version on October 20th at Gallerie Isada in Port Richmond. This season’s iteration includes a “happier” hour from 7 to 8, during which guests can try out treatments like massage, reiki and acupuncture and sample healthy food and drinks. At 8, there will be a live musical performance, but the real party gets underway at 8:30: three-and-a-half hours of standing yoga, dancing and partying. The idea behind the alternative dance party is to let the body respond to the stimulation of music and yoga. Tickets are $25 in advance and $30 at the door. Proceeds go to the YESplus Workshop, a group that brings yoga, meditation and stress reduction to university campuses and young professionals. Get more info on the Facebook page and buy tickets here.

$25 in advance, $30 at the door, October 20 from 7 p.m. to midnight, Gallerie Isada, 3320 Collins Street, Philadelphia.
