In association with the 2011 Walk to Cure Diabetes, the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation will host a 5K Fun Run on October 23rd. Money raised from the event will help the Pennsylvania/Delaware chapter of the JDRF as researchers continue to search for a cure for Type 1 diabetes. The flat, out-and-back course along Martin Luther King Jr. Drive provides an easy, healthy way to help out three million Americans suffering from the disease.

$25, October 23, 8:30 a.m., Philadelphia Museum of Art, 26th Street & Benjamin Franklin Parkway.
