Run This: Christmas in July 5K

Make Christmas come early by supporting Toys for Tots at this 5K

If you’re like me, you start counting down the days ’til Christmas in October and play nothing but B101 from Thanksgiving onward. To satisfy your craving for the winter holiday, sign up for the Christmas in July 5K at McFadden’s at the Ballpark. Prizes will be awarded for the best costume (though you may opt out of a heavy Santa suit for this July 20 race) and unwrapped toys will be collected for Toys for Tots. After the event, spread some holiday cheer with a celebration at McFadden’s – but try not to indulge like it’s December 25. — Katherine Siegel
