Morning Headlines: Sunoco Leaves Center City, Citibank Leaves Entirely

Sunoco will move its 120 legal and administrative employees from 1735 Market St. in Center City a new office campus in Newtown Square in 2016. The Delaware County Times quotes Jeff Shields, Sunoco’s communications manager: “It allows us to consolidate all of our employees in one centralized location in a modern building that we own,” Shields said, explaining that the Center City and Lester locations are leased.

Citibank pulling out of Philadelphia: In the completion of a process started last year, Citibank is now closing all branches in the Philadelphia area, including seven locations within Philadelphia as well as its Bala Cynwyd, Cherry Hill, N.J. and Wilmington, Del. sites, according to the Business Journal.
