Second Annual Celebrity Casino Night at the Crystal Tea Room

Nearly 400 notables mingled with celebrities and gambled to benefit Easter Seals.

Wednesday night Zarwin Baum DeVito Kaplan Schaer Toddy P.C. partnered with Citrin Cooperman for the second annual Celebrity Casino Night at the Crystal Tea Room. Co-host of the evening, Mark S. Carrow, managing partner of Citrin Cooperman, greets the guests as co-host Mitchell S. Kaplan, managing shareholder of Zarwin Baum, looks on. The event drew nearly 400 people to mingle with local celebrities while playing poker, blackjack, roulette and craps.

Tickets for the charity event were $75, and each guest was given $400 to play the tables. Aida Sparta, administrative coordinator, Comcast Spotlight (below, left) and Stacey Kracher, director of marketing at Zarwin Baum, try their luck at the slot machines. Stacey told me they moved casino night out of their offices and into the Crystal Tea Room after they received so many inquires to attend the event.

Below: At the end of the night, people traded in their chips for raffle tickets. Each $100 chip equaled one raffle ticket, so as you can see, some people did very well. After all the chips were cashed in, over $23,000 was raised for Easter Seals.
