Marvin Rocha
My name is Marvin Rocha and these are my local picks for Man Crush Monday. I’ve always found guys alluring if they fight for LGBTQ rights and stake a claim on their place in the world. These gentlemen work tirelessly to improve our community by advocating for LGBTQ equality, marching in parades, and supporting local and national LGBTQ causes. I’m sure you’ll agree that activism never looked so good …
Josh Durando
Not only is Josh hysterical and quick-witted, he also makes Philly a better place through his work with The Welcoming Committee. This year, he also put together HRC’s Dinner After-party at Icandy. When you come shake your thing this Saturday, March 21st at 10 pm, be sure to send your thank-you kisses Josh’s way.
Tom Rogers
Tom and his boyfriend Brian (right) have been very involved with the Mazzoni Center and HRC for many years. A marketing expert, Tom helps HRC connect with community members in Philadelphia. His words are true poetry!
Felix Perez
Felix is one of my favorite human beings on the planet and, yes, his heart of gold does indeed match that perfect smile. Not only does Felix support the local Philadelphia community by serving as a board member of GALAEI, but he also knows how to party for a good cause: He’s coming to the HRC dinner this Saturday and is currently putting together other events in the city like GALAEI's Darla Celebration on April 24th.
Ivan Biglang-awa
Ivan recently moved to Philadelphia from L.A. and quickly became involved with the HRC’s silent auction committee, where he worked with business owners across the city to put together one of the best silent auctions in town. Ivan is always willing to roll up his sleeves and help out in any way he can. I’m sure Philly hasn’t seen the last of him yet.
JT Christensen
As an interior designer at Studio:Christensen, JT works his magic when he converts empty space into magical environments. Seriously, he works wonders! JT uses his powers for good at several events throughout the year and he helped stage this year’s VIP reception space at the HRC dinner. Come check out his work, he’ll simply change your world.
