Learn About “Sisters of the Stars” Under the Stars at the Franklin Institute
The women of space exploration shine on Wednesday night

The Franklin Institute’s Night Skies in the Observatory series is always a good bet. Every month, chief astronomer/author Derrick Pitts leads a program that includes visits to the rooftop telescopes and the planetarium and it’s only $10.
But this Wednesday’s program is extra cool, because:
- It’s entitled ‘Sisters of the Stars: Women of Astronomy and Space Science’ and will focus on the sometimes hidden figures (wink) who’ve helped shape what we know about space.
- It’s somehow not sold out yet. These things always sell out.
- The weather forecast calls for “mostly clear” skies.
