I don’t know Meghan Trainor’s training experience when it comes to singing, but I’m willing to bet she hasn’t studied any vocal health (more on that later): The pop star has announced that she’s canceling the rest of her North American tour because of another hemorrhaged vocal chord and bronchitis.

Trainor took to her Instagram account to post the following note:

She had concert dates scheduled for Allentown on September 6 and Atlantic City’s Borgata on September 13. It’s worth noting that Trainor already canceled her first concert date at Borgata earlier in the summer due to a hemorrhaged vocal chord.

A vocal hemorrhage is no laughing matter: According to the Osborne Head and Neck Institute, a hemorrhaged vocal chord generally occurs when a person sings in aggressive styles, sings incorrectly, or sings in a poor environment.
