Drake Opens Toronto Show With Insulting Meek Mill Memes

Plus, earlier in the day, he sported a "Free Meek Mill" T-shirt.

Drake doesn’t seem to want to let the beef between him and Philly-born rapper Meek Mill die — and he certainly seems to be enjoying his ride at the top. The Internet (and the Eagles!) put him in the winning corner after a series of diss tracks were released by both rappers last week. Drake’s were decidedly awesome; while Meek’s was, well … meek.

Last night, at his OVO Festival in Toronto, Drake set the web ablaze once again by sporting a “Free Meek Mill” T-shirt to rehearse for his set. The Canadian rapper wore the tee once before — to show love for Meek Mill, who was serving jail time in Philly. Obviously, this time it carries a much different connotation.

Folks weren’t sure if he’d wear the shirt during his performance. He didn’t, but he did begin the show with a montage of memes dissing Meek.

To add insult to injury, Philly-bred superstar Will Smith showed up to Drake’s OVO show. He was all smiles, despite the divorce rumors about him and Jada that were circling the web yesterday.

The feud between the rappers began early last week, when Meek Mill tweeted that Drake uses ghostwriters to write his raps. So far, Meek Mill hasn’t posted any responses to Drake’s latest move at the OVO Festival, but something tells me we’ll be seeing something soon.

If nothing else, Meek Mill should get lots of love when he hits the stage in Philly on Thursday night to open for his finacé Nicki Minaj’s Pinkprint Tour at Susquehanna Bank Center.
