Four Seasons "Sip and Savor" Series
Kick off your weekend with a touch of elegance and some fabulous cocktails. The Four Seasons presents its "Sip and Savor" series this Friday with a special cocktail-pairings theme. The hotel's signature mixologists will team up with Chef de Cuisine Joe Liberatore to create out-of-this-world concoctions for your tastebuds. The Taming of the Shrew at Lantern Theater Company
Shakespeare's classic comedy of sexual manners takes the stage at Lantern Theater Company. This tango-themed production is sure to be a fun twist on the Bard's famous play, and audiences will revel in director Charles McMahon's unique vision for the play. Lantern Theater Company has been praised for the previous Shakespeare work, with CurtainUp claiming, "Nobody does Shakespeare comedy better than Lantern Theater Company!" Flutronix and Ryan Matthews at World Cafe Live
We recently wrote about LiveConnections, the innovative concert series that teams up unlikely musical pairings. On Friday, guests will be able to experience the cool stylings live as Flutronix and Ryan Matthews take to the stage at World Cafe Live. Music lovers will enjoy hip-hop flute infused with the trombone sounds of Matthews, a Curtis graduate. Friday, March 20th, 7:30 pm, $13-18, World Cafe Live, 3025 Walnut Street.


Noshhh Local Craft Food and Drink Vendor Showcase
A speakeasy-themed diner's delight is shaping up this Friday, as Noshhh, a local craft food and drink showcase, rolls out the red carpet at United by Blue. Over a dozen local food and drink vendors (everything from cupcakes to gin to hummus) will be serving up their specialities, while the sounds of live jazz will fill the air. Philadelphia Travel and Adventure Show
If you're thinking about taking a daring trip across seas, head over to the Pennsylvania Convention Center this weekend for a travel show that is sure to inspire. It's the first time that the show has come to Philly, and it will be filled with hundreds of travel experts, vacation ideas, and fun vendors for the entire family. East Passyunk Easter Egg Hunt
Here comes Peter Cottontail! This Saturday, the entire family is invited to the East Passyunk Free Easter Egg Hunt. Little ones will be able to search for goodies and meet with the Easter Bunny, and to make it fair, different age ranges are staggered throughout the event. Afterwards, several local eateries are offering brunch and lunch specials for your favorite little bunnies. Egyptomania at Penn Museum
The Penn Museum's all-day Egyptomania event on Saturday is truly a history lover's dream come true. Watch museum conservators preserve actual mummies, take expert tours of the Egyptian collection, learn about hieroglyphs, dance to traditional drums, and even make your own necklaces and canopic jars to take home with you. Saturday, March 21st, 11:00 to 4:00 pm, free after museum admission, Penn Museum, 3260 South Street.


Pet-A-Palooza in Haddonfield
Pay tribute to your fine four-legged friends this Saturday at Haddonfield's Pet-A-Palooza blowout. There's an adorable pet parade, over a dozen pet-related vendors, an adoption center (just in case you want to bring home a furry pal), and you can make a donation of goods at various locations throughout town to support the Camden County Animal Shelter. Woof! Saturday, March 21st, 12:00 to 4:00 pm, free, various locations throughout downtown Haddonfield, New Jersey.


Classy Broads and Daring Dames: The Ladies of Laurel Hill Cemetery
It's a unique event to celebrate Women's History Month: Laurel Hill Cemetery is saluting the interesting dames who have been buried at this historical landmark. In this interactive tour, guests will learn the life stories of several prominent Philadelphia women at Laurel Hill, and will end with a toast to celebrate all things feminine. Macy's Spring 2015 Flower Show
Yes, we know that other flower show just left town, but the gorgeous (and free) Macy's Spring Flower Show opens this Sunday, and it has something for just about everyone. In particular, check out Family Fun Day on Sunday, where visitors can watch a cookie cooking demo and meet author and filmmaker Joe Cross. Of course, there will be thousands of blooms throughout the store for you to see. Opens Sunday, March 22nd, various times, free, Macy's, 1300 Market Street.


Greek Independence Day Parade
On Sunday, there will be plenty of Greek flags flying along the Parkway as the city celebrates Greek Independence Day with a free parade. Over 50 organizations, including local churches, societies, and even a Hellenic motorcycle club, will take place in the festivities. Expect dancing, ethnic costumes, and plenty of people taking part in this annual tradition. Sunday, March 22nd, 2:00 pm, free, parade begins at 19th and Logan Circle.


Big Gay Night at Alla Spina
Our friends at Foobooz reported on this oober-gaudy (and oober-tasty) event happening this Sunday evening at Alla Spina: If you can't take the wait for Big Gay Ice Cream to open its doors in Philly, stop by for dinner, dessert, burlesque, and drag. Dinner will be followed by a late-night show, and there will be plenty of Victory Brewing specials to wash down all the craziness.
