Tuesday Tune-out: PhilaMOCA’s weekly Tuesday Tune-Out revives old-fashioned picture show interest for the Netflix-weary. This week’s installation pairs live scoring from Philly-based Marlo Reynolds and Phil Benson with John Schenk’s abstract-experimental feature Blue Wonder. Justin Timberlake: This week’s obvious and nearly obligatory concert pick is Justin Timberlake at the Wells Fargo Center.  Suit up for swoon-worthy R&B gems from the noted charmer and prepare for sexy to be definitively brought back. Marian Hill:  Philadelphia duo Marian Hill play their first show at Boot and Saddle this Wednesday.  Producer Jeremy Lloyd and vocalist Samantha Gangol combine smooth electronica, sultry vocals and retro-modern aesthetics in an impressive debut. Jazz Composition Workshop with Josh Lawrence:  Channel your inner Miles Davis at Thursday’s Jazz Residency artist Josh Lawrence’s workshop on jazz composition and performance.  Jazz trumpeter Lawrence, who teaches at Drexel and University of the Arts, is joined by several musicians to crowd-compose some swinging music.  You may not leave with “Giant Steps” on your compositional resume, but it’s a definite baby step toward creative bliss.  Thursday, February 27, 6 p.m., free, Kimmel Center, 1500 Walnut St.

Philadelphia Orchestra TuneIN: Philadelphia Orchestra debuts its new TuneIN series, a light-hearted variation on the orchestra’s conventional repertoire,  this Thursday at the Kimmel Center. This abbreviated 75-minute concert is perfect for music lovers who prefer a little less pomp, given the circumstances. Guest performances include pianist Eric La Sage and dance troupe Philadanco. The earlier show and casual dress code should attract families and sunny-day classicists, and the happy-hour-priced drinks should draw the rest.
