East Passyunk Boutique Occasionette Doubling in Size

Home is moving out so Occasionette can expand.

East Passyunk shoppers, we’ve got some bad news and some great news. The sad part first: One of our favorite home furnishings boutiques, Home, has shuttered its East Passyunk doors. (It moved into a shared boutique space with Occasionette around this time last year.) Although we hate to see Home go, this is great news for Occasionette, which is now doubling in size. The gift boutique will inhabit the entire space at 1825 East Passyunk Avenue, and the expanded inventory has us super excited.

Owner Sara Villari tells us to look out for “a whole lot more of everything.” This includes twice as many paper goods (aka the cutest greeting cards and stationery), more jewelry, and bath and body goodies—a new category for the boutique. Of course, you’ll be able to find more pantry and cocktail essentials that Occasionette is know for, as well as an expansive gift wrap selection. Word on the street is Villari’s line of housewares and gifts, Girls Can Tell, will have its own section in the newly expanded store.

Occcasionette’s expansion, set to finish within the next two weeks, coincides with the boutique’s third anniversary. We can’t wait to see the new space!
