If you’re a citizen of #SharkTankNation and get as jazzed about Barbara Corcoran as I do, there’s exciting news for local viewers. Wordnerd Apparel, a Philly-based t-shirt company, may be venturing into the Shark Tank soon.

If you’re a fan, you know that Mr. Wonderful is notorious for ripping into t-shirt companies for non-proprietary designs. However, Wordnerd Apparel has one defining feature that may stop him cold: Wordnerd’s t-shirts feature customizable velcro letters that you can arrange into any saying you want. It’s like the wearable version of those tiny fridge magnets.

The graphic-tee moment might be waning, but it’s a cute idea for kids (hello, birthday party idea!). As of right now, the brand sells t-shirts for men, women and kids, all of which come with a pack of 100 velcro letters; they have plans to expand their merchandise selection in the future.

And the best part? Their sewing team, Ampro Sports, is located right here in Delaware County (let’s hear it for local jobs!).

Although it is still unconfirmed whether the young family that runs Wordnerd Apparel will appear on Shark Tank, their Etsy announcement gives us reason to hope:

“Shark Tank Casting loved us! Will find out soon if we made it. Wish us luck!”

We’re certainly rooting for them — and keeping our fingers crossed that they don’t get eviscerated by the investors.
