Ever wonder what goes into those insanely cool costume exhibitions Drexel hosts? Here’s your opportunity to find out. Drexel is hosting an event this Saturday with none other than Clare Sauro, the curator herself, to give guests a super-exclusive, behind-the-scenes look at the making of a fashion exhibit as well as their not-yet-on-display retrospective exhibition, Immortal Beauty: Highlights from the Robert & Penny Fox Historic Costume Collection
(it doesn’t debut until October 2nd!).

Sauro will discuss the nitty-gritty details of her work (like how she mounts her mannequins) as well as the more nuanced aspects (like selecting designs from the archives). And you can sit back and take in the highlights of the 12,000-piece Robert and Penny Fox Historic Costume Collection.

The event, Behind the Seams: The Making of a Costume Exhibition, takes place this Saturday, May 9th, from 10am to 1pm in the URBN Center located at 3501 Market Street. Tickets are $50 each.
