If you’re reading this, we can only assume you’ll be visiting Philadelphia around the time Pope Francis makes his way to town. Glad you could make it! Because while you could always choose to camp out with these folks instead of taking up in some cliché high-rise hotel room, we think the following city rentals (i.e. lovely local homes hand-picked by us) are worth a look.

Oh, and if you’re not an out-of-towner reading this… shoo! Go off and take a break from all the Popeadelphia madness! (But if you must stay, take these rentals as examples for how to go about renting your place for the Pope’s Philly visit.)

Northern Liberties

ListingN. 6th Street
Price: $30,000/month
For $1k a night throughout entire month of September, you better hope this joint comes with a car and its own butler service! As it so happens, this NoLibs home does. The completely furnished twin, rising up four stories and offering four sizable bedrooms, features high ceilings, wood floors, a side yard and three-car parking. You’ll be feeling at home in no time for sure. Want to really make it worth the 30 G’s? This place should throw in a Pope Pass from SEPTA.

Market East/Chinatown

Listing1010 Arch Street, Unit 305
Price: $1,900/a day for three days; $1,700/a day for seven days
Ah, the Lofts at the Winston. You’ll be interested to know that in addition to having this apartment in a historically preserved structure with concierge service, it’s also steps from Independence Mall, the Convention Center (where the World Meeting of the Families will be held), and, more importantly, Reading Terminal Market. Can you say “win”?

Fishtown

ListingTaggert Street
Price: $9,000/ten days
There’s a cap at ten people at this newly renovated rowhome, so we suggest you come with pilgrims who follow the old cleanliness is next to Godliness adage (i.e. laundry not included). Available from September 18 thru 28th, the residence has two queen-sized bedrooms and welcomes pets. Smoking not allowed.

Midtown Village

Listing:”2BR House – Center City w/Roof Deck
Price: $10,240 /week, plus $150 cleaning fee
We originally spotted this AirBnB rental on Craigslist, so you’ll have to consult directly with the owner for up to date pricing info. Here’s what we know for sure, though: the entire home (which OMG, might be a trinity?!?!) is totally at your disposal. It’s pet-friendly, houses up to four adults and includes a functioning washer & dryer unit. Roof deck on premises.

Devil’s Pocket

Listing2707 Bainbridge Street
Price: $25,000/ten days
If a month is too long, but a weekend seems likewise too short, then perhaps you should consider staying somewhere in the middle. For a week and a half, this four-bedroom will, as the listing says, allow you access to an “un-Pope-restricted Philadelphia” in addition to the papal hoopla. Features here include elevator, roof deck with wet bar, two-car garage, and a master suite with Jacuzzi and shower. Bonus: it accommodates “8+”, per the listing.

Please note that these rentals were available as of the publication on July 29.
