Should we have saved this one for our Jaw Dropper of the Week?

Confession: Main Line Monday is probably the toughest theme house of the week for us to choose. Why? Well, so many of these houses could easily, easily, be the Jaw Dropper of the Week as well. Since the two names don’t really fair well in the mash up department (Jaw Mainer? Main Line Dropper?), you still get two glorious houses to gawk at each week.

Its presence from the road is quite lovely. A stone fence with lanterns on each pillar welcomes you into the well-landscaped property–you know you’re in for a real treat.

Honestly, you might need to make an appointment with a chiropractor after touring the home from craning your neck to take it all in: the inlaid wood floors, coffered and tin ceilings and Venetian plaster walls. Everything in this place is choice. A jaunt through the kitchen alone would suffice for even the casual house hunter. For starters, it’s huge and combines well with the breakfast breakfast room on one side and an adjacent living room on the other. You get plenty of natural light, limestone counters and a gorgeous pressed tin ceiling.

Just off of the kitchen is the aforementioned living room, which boasts hand hewn timber beams, a stone fireplace and plenty of space to relax.

From there, it’s really tough to pick the second favorite space in (or outside) of the home. Why? Well, the master suite is ridiculously nice. It comes with a large bedroom space and plenty of windows, a sitting room with a fireplace, his and hers baths (go to the gallery now and check out the bathroom) and a balcony.

To make the choice tougher still is the finished lower level, which comes complete with a tiered private movie theater, custom bar, a full bath, an office and a fitness/gym area. Outside, there is an incredible pool area that’s just perfect for those humid days that are surely just around the corner.
