Owner Suspiciously Honest About Haunted House for Sale

All right, all right -- we get it. Screaming at 3 a.m. and stuff.

“Come in, come in! Don’t mind the ghost floating near the staircase. She only does that once a week. Twice a week — tops.” The home’s entryway.

Action News posted a gallery of what it called a “slightly haunted” house for sale. And it’s true, the listing does use those words. But it seems like the owner (who’s selling the house without an agent) really, really wants people to know the house is haunted. Talk about full disclosure. The evidence of “nothing serious,” as the owner puts it, is this:

– The sounds of phantom footsteps.
– A strange knocking sound followed by a very quiet (hardly noticeable, even) scream at 3:13am, maybe once a week. Twice a week, tops.
– And the occasional ghastly visage lurking behind you in the bathroom mirror. Even still, this occurs very rarely and only in the second floor bathroom.

Oh, and if that isn’t enough to freak the potential buyer out, there’s this:

Large unfinished crawl space behind concealed door hidden in bedroom closet. Very strange area, but perfect for storage.

STORAGE OF WHAT?

If that isn’t enough creepy/scary/Amityville strangeness for you, then you’ll probably enjoy “the secret door behind a moving bookcase” and the attic with a vaulted ceiling and rounded turret section where Rochester kept his crazy wife.

To sum up, says the owner:

All around a beautiful home with lots of updates and tons of charm. Must see.
