The unions of these four couples, each held at a gorgeous private residence belonging to family or friends, prove that home is where the heart is.

There’s much speculation over where Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce will choose to have their wedding — but our money’s on the great state of PA. Swift, after all, is a Berks County native, and grew up on a Christmas tree farm. (And Kelce’s got some family ties here too, of course.) And should they want to have a private estate wedding, we have some inspo for them — and you! — thanks to these four Philly-area couples who chose to say “I do” at gorgeous residences belonging to family or friends.

Block Party

For Brea Hall’s wedding to Travis Robinson, finding a venue was a matter of looking close to home: the historic Robert M. Hogue House in Mount Airy, the circa-1896 Jacobean Revival mansion where she’d grown up. Brea and Travis said “I do” on the grand staircase in the front hall, a private ceremony for their parents and siblings followed by an intimate dinner. But the real party happened a few weeks later, an epic outdoor bash for 250 guests held outside the house, planned by Two Have & To Hold. “The reception theme was ‘Philly block party,’ paying homage to the long history of street events that take place every summer,” says Brea. The couple secured permits and packed the street with food trucks, mobile bars, posh lounge areas, and a live band, putting a sophisticated spin on a Philly tradition.

Home Sweet Home

Before guests headed to Riverton Country Club in Cinnaminson for Jacqueline Pollock and Jed Puk-Silverstein’s reception, they paid a visit to Jacqueline’s childhood home in Moorestown. There, they took their seats on the property’s stunning grounds (made even more beautiful by Kelab Events & Design, which planned both events, and Tryst Floral) for a touching ceremony — one that began with Jacqueline’s mom, who officiated, singing a few bars of “September,” the Earth, Wind & Fire song that opens with the couple’s wedding date: the 21st of September. Live artist Julie Rieutort captured the scene, bursting with flowers and sunshine, in all its splendor.

Alexandra Debbas and Stephen Steinruck welcomed the challenge of hosting a celebration while in the throes of a home renovation. Their ceremony, held before 28 guests, took place in the front yard of their under-construction Devon home, backdropped by a wood mantel they’d saved from the interior demolition. (Credit to event designers and planners Open Aire Affairs and Events by Renee, who ensured that everything went smoothly.) From there, the party headed across the street to the back yard of Aly’s dad’s house for a cozy reception. “After guests left, we went back out, turned on the twinkly lights, lay out on the rental furniture under the stars together, and enjoyed the bliss of the moment,” Aly says.

Secret Garden

Growing up, Abbey Rouse would often take walks past Soledad Mansion, a private residence in Exton, and dream of getting married there. “It sits in an open field and has beautiful gardens and fountains all throughout the property,” she says. Luckily, the owners are close family friends and neighbors of the Rouses, so when Abbey married Moneib Nahas, she got her dream wedding: an elegant garden party at the mansion, brought to life by Courtney Space Events — guests dined at long tables, relaxed at a cigar lounge, and danced the night away.
