You’re Going to Want a Taco-Filled Wedding at Mission Taqueria After Seeing This
They're also available for taco-filled rehearsal dinners.
Attention newly engaged couples! If you’re looking for a trendy, fun and downright delicious place for your rehearsal dinner, bridal shower, or any other wedding gathering, Mission Taqueria is the spot for you. When we first heard the taco-centric spot was available for wedding-related private events (more details here), we couldn’t stop imagining how cool the party might look. And now, the resto has teamed up with a top-notch crew of wedding pros and to bring that party to life! Check all the fun out in the styled shoot below.
Aside from the integral food and beverage portion of your wedding celebration, these shots taken by Peach Plum Pear Photography prove how easily (and beautifully!) Mission Taqueria’s space can transform into a magical space to celebrate your big day. The space’s native neon accents pair wonderfully with brightly colored floral arrangements, resulting in modern, high-energy photographs that will last a lifetime.
It also pairs wonderfully with the freshly fashionable outfits donned by the shoot models. We love that the lady couple featured in this photo set, Resa and Jill, are married IRL—and that Resa bartends at the restaurant.
We’d be remiss not to point out how cool it would be to have private access to Mission’s indoor-outdoor atrium area that graces the Instagram of so many Philadelphians. Needless to say, the photo-ops in this venue are endless.
Back to the original reason we love Mission — the food! Mission Taqueria will serve up big platters of social, easily-shareable bites such as tacos, empanadas, and huaraches. Below you’ll see examples of some of Mission’s favorites, including grilled wild shrimp and braised beef rib tacos, fried mahi mahi, seafood ceviche, and sweet potato toastones. Mouthwatering, right? Now, on to their infamous green juice margarita. Made with freshly squeezed kale, green apple, cucumber, celery and ginger juice, it’s refreshing and revitalizing. The guava and mango margaritas are also delicious options.
If you can’t picture your friends and family downing tacos, clinking margaritas and taking selfies in the courtyard by now, I don’t know what to tell you. Mission Taqueria is a great option for folks looking for a cool, alternative wedding reception or rehearsal dinner venue. Read this post first for a general feel of what they can do for your party, then contact the restaurant, located at 1516 Sansom Street in Center City, for more details.
