It’s no secret that the holiday season can majorly derail even the most dedicated of dieters—the cakes, cookies and indulgent hors d’oeuvres you’ll find at every holiday party on your calendar can be hard to resist. And let’s not even get started on the cocktails.

For brides-to-be who are working hard to get wedding-ready, the season can be especially torturous, and we here at PW are sympathetic to your cause. (We always feel badly for engaged friends, standing around holiday parties forlornly with nothing but a pile of carrots—no dip—on their plates.) That’s why we’re passing along Be Well Philly’s roundup of tips for staying on track during the holidays, all of which come from local fitness pros who know a thing or two about keeping in shape—even in the face of eggnog and Christmas cookies.

From amping up your workouts on days where you know you’ll be eating more heavily than usual to avoiding appetizers and planning “no sugar” days, the tips these experts are dolling out are seriously helpful—and doable. Take a read here and see if you can incorporate any of their advice into your holiday routine.
