Picture of the Week: A Mother’s Love

Judith and her mom Mindy were such a sweet mother-daughter couple—they planned the entire wedding together, and are very close. I knew I wanted to photograph the moment when Judith’s veil was going on, because in taking photos throughout the day, it had been one beautiful moment after another and I knew this wouldn’t be an exception.

Judith was all smiles and laughs on her wedding day, but as soon as her mom put her veil on and laid it over her face, her emotions got the best of her, and for the first time all day, she teared up. Mindy calmly found some tissues and lovingly dried her daughter’s tears moments before walking her down the aisle. It’s still one of my favorite moments from one of my favorite weddings.
