Over the holiday season, Philly’s newest fine-dining restaurant moved into the hallowed space that once held Le Bec Fin. That restaurant, Avance, helmed by Michelin-starred Chef Justin Bogle, has been making a buzz in Philly’s foodie scene—and now, too, they have outlined their partying plan for Philly brides who’d like to hold their wedding-related events in the Progressive American spot.

Whether you’re thinking of heading to the Walnut Street location to celebrate your rehearsal dinner, bridal shower, or the Big Day itself, the restaurant has several options regarding both party size and menus. Upstairs, there’s a private dining room that can seat up to 24 people, and the main room downstairs can do 40 for a seated event (perfect for the night before, no?) or fit up to 100 guests comfortably for a cocktail-style reception. You also have the option of extending your party into the downstairs bar.

The menus here change frequently throughout the season—and include course options like Jerusalem artichoke, Arctic char, veal sweetbread and dry-aged duck—and are accompanied by a stellar wine and cocktail menu, so if you’re looking to wow your friends and family with a celebration focused on the food and drink, this might be your spot. Prices vary depending on a few factors, including day of the week and how much of the restaurant you’re looking to take over, so you can contact Avance’s private dining manager Tim Lux at 215-405-0700 to find out about the particulars for the fabulous wedding you’re looking to throw.
