Cescaphe Event Group Takes Over & Renovates Philadelphia’s Down Town Club

At the end of last year, Joe Volpe, CEO of Cescaphe Event Group (which runs such well-known Philly venues as the Atrium at the Curtis Center, VIE and the Cescaphe Ballroom), took over ownership of the Down Town Club, the iconic circa-1920s Philadelphia spot.

Since then, the space—which can hold up to 250 for a seated dinner or up to 1,000 for a cocktail reception—has been renovated to include a new cocktail area and upgrades of everything from the hardwood floors to the window treatments, with the goal of modernizing the space and showing off views south and east of the city. The wedding package offers endless options (top-shelf liquor, sushi stations, trolley service) for your six-hour reception. Prices available upon request.

{Editors note: Our just-married bridal blogger, Carly, brought us along for the ride as she planned her wedding at the Down Town Club while it was undergoing renovations. Cescaphe took over the venue after she and her now-husband, Sean, had booked it. Read about it here.}
