Our Favorite Look For Fall/Winter Weddings

When we shot the cover of the Fall/Winter 2011 issue of Philadelphia Wedding last year, we were in the Poconos, and, much to our (happy!) surprise, also in two feet of freshly fallen snow. We styled our bride in Hunter boots and a soft, cashmere cardigan from Joan Shepp, and it’s maybe one of my favorite covers ever.

That’s why, when we saw this blog post last week asking brides whether or not they’d wear a cardi over their wedding dress on their Big Day, I was sitting in my office yelling, Yesyesyes!

But, I mean, far be it for me to answer for you, of course. So, I’m curious: Take a look at these shots, see what we mean, and then tell us: Would you—or will you—wear a cardigan over your dress for your cold-weather wedding? We here at PW have a colleague getting married in January, and I plan on having a very serious discussion with her concerning this topic. It’s a look she’d totally rock. Will you?
