Bride-to-Be Blogger Heather: Planning the Honeymoon

So, we just finished a really fun part of the planning … our honeymoon: We are going to Italy for two weeks!

This is actually a long over-due trip for us. Originally, we were going to go last April during my spring break from school—and Michael was planning on proposing to me in front of the Trevi Fountain in Rome. (I know, can you stand how romantic he is? I’m a lucky girl.) Unfortunately, my grandfather passed away the week we were scheduled to leave. It was a very difficult time for all of us in my family, so Michael waited patiently until the next “right time,” and a few months later he decided to bring the fountain to me! He had a wall-sized poster blown up of the Trevi Fountain, hung it on the wall, made a trail of red rose petals and knelt down and asked the best question I’ve ever been asked. Pretty creative, if you ask me!

So now, it’s only fitting that we get to take that trip to Italy for our honeymoon. We will be visiting Rome, Florence, Venice, and The Almalfi Coast. We decided it’d be best to start off at the sight-seeing places, and end by relaxing by the sea.

We used a helpful travel agent in South Jersey called Skyline Travel. They were very helpful in taking care of all of our plans, especially the travel once we actually get there.

And best of all— as I tackle the dreaded seating arrangements, I can now picture my honeymoon to get me through it!

Where are you going on your honeymoon? How did you decide on where you to?
