The vice president officiated at a gay wedding outside his residence on Monday.

Joe Biden presided over the same-sex union of White House staffers Joe Mahshie and Brian Mosteller at his official residence, the Naval Observatory, on Monday. As this was the first time Biden had ever performed such a ceremony, he had to get a special temporary certification in D.C. to make it legal. Biden, a longtime proponent of same-sex marriage, is said to have been instrumental in President Obama’s decision to back gay marriage during their 2012 re-election campaign.

Tyler Posey has been criticized for a false “coming out” announcement.

Teen Wolf actor Tyler Posey found himself in social media drama after sharing a Snapchat video of himself on Friday giving fans the impression that he was coming out as gay. In the clip, Posey showed a street sign reading “Gay St.” and announced, “This is me. I am this and this is me. I’ve never felt more alive,” before facing the camera and yelling, “I’m gay!” Shortly after, major media outlets began running headlines of the television star’s declaration.

Until he recanted it on Twitter:
