TMZ: Jahlil Okafor Knocks Out Heckler
TMZ has posted video of what it says is 76ers’ rookie Jahlil Okafor punching out a man in Boston early this morning.
The website says Okafor, 19, and his friends got into an altercation with a group of Bostonians after someone from that group said, “The 76ers suck!” The Sixers had a nine-point lead in the fourth quarter last night but lost to the Celtics, 84-80.
The altercation took place outside Storyville Boston, a club. Okafor was held back, per TMZ, but then broke free and hit a man in the face. Another man took a swing at Okafor and missed; everyone left the scene and no arrests were made.
A rep for Okafor told TMZ the Sixers rookie felt threatened after someone “got physical” a teammate and that his group was being heckled from the moment they left the club.
