Boxers, the gay New York establishment which invaded Walnut Street in Philadelphia last year, turns one this weekend, and there will be quite a celebration at the sports bar.

Manager Keith Stiles told me that the one-year birthday bash for Boxers, which is this Saturday, November 14th at 8 pm, will feature everything that locals have come to know and love about the bar, plus some surprises. There will be passed appetizers, drink specials, performances, and shot boys, along with plenty of raffles and giveaways.

Plus, there will be two DJs in the house: Philly’s Sharyn Stone (aka Matt Beierschmitt) and New York City’s Eric Abobo.

The bar has become something of a staple for those who enjoy their famous happy hour and, of course, the shirtless staff. Philadelphia Magazine even named it the “Best Gay Bar” in the city for 2015 in our “Best of Philly” issue.

You can check out the party this Saturday at 1330 Walnut Street. For more information, visit their Facebook page.
