WATCH: Man Attacked in Somerton Home

The Philadelphia Police Department is looking for the two men seen in this photo, suspects in a severe beating that took place last week on normally quiet Welton Street in the Somerton section of Philadelphia.

The attack occurred on Tuesday, October 6th around 9:30 p.m. In the surveillance video released by police, you can see the two men ring the doorbell and then wait. Eventually, the 70-year-old resident opens the door, the men barge in, and you can see the shadows of them attacking the man.

Police say that the victim was hit on the head with a metal ASP weapon. The attack caused a cracked skull and brain bleeding, and he was most recently listed in critical condition at Aria Torresdale Hospital.

The suspects are described by police as follows:

Suspect #1: White male, 6’,0”, 230lbs, mid 30 years-of-age, beard, wearing a light colored knit hat, light colored hooded jacket, blue jeans, and armed with a dark colored ASP.

Suspect #2: White male, 5’,9”, 200lbs, 55 years of age, dark hair, wearing a light colored zip up jacket, and blue jeans.
