Man Crush Monday: Tyjuan Pierce

Every week, Philly gay gents share their local picks for Man Crush Monday. This week: 10-year Gayborhood bartending vet and self-proclaimed local supermodel Tyjuan Pierce. 

Tyjuan Pierce

I'm Tyjuan Pierce, aka Miss Ty in some circles. I've been a bartender in the Gayborhood for about 10 years, and have met some amazing people along the way. I currently work at Tabu. When I'm not there, I like to spend my spare time creating fashion or shopping for a new fabulous pair of heels, because, well, I like to consider myself a local supermodel. You will always see a smile on my face, whether I just met you or have known you for years—but these eight cuties make that smile even broader.

Rob Fernwah

I've known this handsome, intelligent fella for like nine years to the day. I have a crush on him, because he always makes me laugh—and let's be honest: he's gorgeous. You may usually catch him working shifts at Knock or Tabu, but I love seeing him at the coffee shop, snuggled behind a good book.

Freddy Shelley

This all-around amazing man had me at Prada. LOL. He has the biggest heart of gold, always doing his part to raise money for various charities in Philadelphia. Anywhere he goes he can light up a room, and will do anything for you if you need him—not to mention he has the cutest buns ever. I love this guy more than words.

Timothy Laskey

My next crush is a cutie-patutie, "Revolutionaries" comic book artist. Currently a bartender at Knock, he has the best dimples and the most gorgeous blue eyes you'll ever see in our fine city. I like hanging with him, cracking up and reciting lines from one of our favorite shows, Ab Fab. He's just and all-around sweetheart.

Gunnar Montana

What else can I say about this guy other than he's one of the most talented dancer/choreographers I've ever met in Philly. I got a chance to see two of his shows and they gave me chills. And now he's on the cover of Instinct magazine. Yum, you hottie.

Matt Beierschmitt

Who wouldn't love this tall drink of water with legs for days. I met Matt (aka DJ Sharyn Stone) years ago, and I've had a mini crush on him ever since. Keep up the good work fighting the good fight for AIDS Fund. Stay gorgeous.

Phil Sobolewski

Phil is my handsome straight husband and boss at Tabu. He is one of the most genuine, friendly people you'll ever meet. He has the best sense of humor. The staff at Tabu and I love coming in, because we have one of the best bosses ever. Love you, Philzie.

Thomas Day III

As my former handsome nerdy roommate, Thomas has a special place in my heart. I've been with him through thick-and-thin as I watched him go to school and graduate college with honors. Now he is the new executive chef of the up-and-coming SouthHouse restaurant in South Philly. He's cute, sweet, and a dork, but I love him.

Jordan Fraser

Last but not least: This little guy is usually working beside me at Tabu on Wednesday night. He is a film major who is going to do big things with his career. I love this kid a lot, because he's always been there for me and vice versa. I can't wait to go to his first movie premiere in the future. What a cutie, my little Jordy Pants.
