Accident Snarls Ben Franklin Bridge, Center City Traffic

An overturned tractor-trailer is slowing traffic near the entrance of the Ben Franklin Bridge in Philadelphia.
It happened just before 1:00 p.m. Wednesday.
Police say a tractor-trailer hauling scrap metal overturned as it tried to turn onto the bridge.
NJTransit adds: “Bus service to/from Ben Franklin Bridge is experience delays up to 20 minutes due to a motor vehicle accident on the entrance ramp at the bridge. Buses are detoured using the 5th Street entrance ramp from Race St.”
The DRPA updates: Accident in Philadelphia at 6th St. approach to Ben Franklin Bridge. One lane getting by, 2 bridge lanes open to NJ. Westbound to PA 3 lanes open. Expect delays in the eastbound direction.
BFB UPDATE: 6th St approach blocked to clear accident. Traffic diverted to 5th St. approach. Expect delays.
