Rendell Staying Disappointingly Neutral in Gov. Race

Dear Gubernatorial Hopefuls: Rendell Will Not Endorse Any of You. And this disappoints we newsmen and women just as much as it disappoints you. Because, frankly, between Corbett and his Democratic challengers, this race is a bit lacking in political sex appeal. Why Rendell ain’t budging:

The former governor says he has extremely high regard for Schwartz, but he has equally high regard for other candidates in the race. “Three of them served in my cabinet (ed: Thomas Wolf, Katie McGinty, John Hanger) and to try to choose one of those three would be like asking a father to pick his favorite among three children.”

So, barring some “extraordinary development” there will be no hat-throwing into the ring. [CBS 3]
