After Daughter’s Overdose, Bon Jovi Will Watch Christie Sign OD Prevention Law

Today in Trenton, Chris Christie will sign an overdose prevention bill. On hand will be Jon Bon Jovi, whose daughter Stephanie Bongiovi overdosed last fall on heroin at Hamilton College in upstate New York, where she is a student. (Drug charges were dropped because New York has a law similar to the one New Jersey passed.) The bill would in some cases provide legal immunity to those OD’ing and those assisting in their emergency treatment. [AP]
