Ride the “Santa Express” into Center City on Black Friday

Forget about Thursday’s Thanksgiving meals. Are you ready to shop? If so, you might want to take SEPTA’s “Santa Express” into Center City on Friday. Two holiday-themed trains on the Market-Frankford Line will depart at 10 a.m. from the 69th Street Transportation Center and the Frankford Transportation Center, making all stops along the way. Both are expected to arrive at The Gallery at Market East at 10:22 a.m. Broad Street Line riders, meanwhile, can catch the decorated 10 a.m. train from the Fern Rock Transportation Center to arrive in Center City at roughly the same time. The trains will include Santa Claus, Santa’s helpers, magicians, and other costumed characters. Which doesn’t sound as different from a normal day on SEPTA as it should. [Uwishunu]
