Just As Our Forefathers Imagined It, “Wawa Creates 4.5 Tons of Hoagie Heaven”

Real Americans don’t simply celebrate the independence of the United States with some sparklers and a hot dog or two on the Fourth of July. Real Americans start that celebration a week early and do so with a 4.5 ton hoagie—just as our forefathers would have wanted. The annual Wawa Welcome America Celebration is underway. Tomorrow, the celebration will feature an afternoon hoagie feast fit for kings (or just Mayor Nutter, Wawa CEO Howard Stoeckel, and Philly’s police officers and firefighters) and an outdoor viewing of Rocky on the Art Museum steps later Wednesday night.
