West Philly Coffee Thrower Issues Apology

A man who threw scalding coffee on a clerk in a West Philly donut shop a few weeks ago has issued a public apology. David Timbers—a 52-year-old grandfather—got into a dispute with the clerk at Fresh Donuts over whether or not he had already paid for his sandwich. Things escalated when Timbers threw a scalding cup of coffee at the clerk, burning her arm. Today, after his preliminary hearing, Timbers apologized and asked the woman for her forgiveness.
