Mike McQueary to Sue Penn State. Mike McQueary—an assistant football coach at Penn State and the one-time graduate assistant who testified that he witnessed Jerry Sandusky sexually abusing a boy—announced his intention to sue Penn State University with a court filing yesterday. [Daily News]

SRC and City Council Talk Budget Shortfall. School Reform Commission officials spent yesterday in front of City Council spelling out the district’s dire straits. Basically, they said, without an extra $94 million, the shortfall for next year would be $314 million and would likely grow to $1.1 billion over the next five years. [Inquirer]

Elderly Man Pulled From Limo, Stabbed. A 77-year-old man was reportedly sitting in a white Lincoln Town Car limo that was stopped at a red light in Frankford when he was supposedly pulled from the limo by a masked man. The two argued, then the assailant stabbed the elderly man in the stomach. He was rushed to Aria Health Frankford Hospital. [6 ABC]
