Marimow Retakes Post as Top Inquirer Editor

The new owners of Philadelphia Media Network have announced that 64-year-old William K. Marimow will return as the top editor of the Inquirer. Marimow—who is currently a journalism professor at Arizona State University—was removed from his spot as the paper’s editor in 2010 when publisher Gregory J. Osberg said he wanted more tech-savvy leadership in the newsroom. Osberg actually told our Steve Volk that he, “preferred new editor Stan Wischnowski’s ‘more collaborative’ style.” [Inquirer]
