Small Plane Skids Off Runway At PHL

A landing gear malfunction caused a small plane to skid off a runway and into the grass at Philadelphia International Airport today. The pilot was the only one on board the aircraft and was not hurt during the incident. The runway—used mostly for small airplanes—will be closed for the next few hours as crews work to move the plane off of the grass. All other planes are running according to schedule. [6 ABC]
