Preliminary Toxicology Results for Cardinal Bevilacqua

Cardinal Bevilacqua died a few weeks ago. He suffered from dementia and other serious medical conditions that had some people wondering if he was fit enough to testify in the trials relating to the sexual-abuse scandal concerning the Archdiocese of Philadelphia. Today, a preliminary toxicology report released by the Montgomery County coroner shows that all drugs in Cardinal Bevliacqua’s system at the time of his death were prescribed by a doctor. It will take more time for the coroner to determine if the dosages of those drugs was more than what was prescribed. Those results are expected to be announced on March 10th. [NBC Philadelphia]
